Mrs. Ford is one of my idols, she has helped countless people with their addictions. She's quite a woman.
I think for a lot of people this is as much about grieving with her as it is about grieving for him.
I don't think we're going to go down after all. It's bitter cold out, I've been on meds for a bacterial infection all week, and there are 60,000 people currently in line. Right now the wait is 8 hours It's so congested, you can't even get near the area you are supposed to park and go through security check (then walk across the river like a 1/2 mile or so to the museum). They said 12,000 people were already in line when it opened at 5pm.
I really wish I'd been home today. The procession passed right by our apartment complex. I would have stood on the corner. I can't stand for the procession tomorrow either b/c of work, but a lot of schools and anything on the route have already been closed.
He will be buried here so I guess I can go at any time.
