I don't think Obama did himself any favours by saying what he said. However, there's a big difference between saying that someone acted "stupidly" and outright calling them "stupid", and the former is what Obama said, not the latter.

Any questions? I think you know the answer to that question. I do.

Well he let Cheney do that... Bush came off too aloof and unknowing of what was going on around him to ever really lose his cool, because in order to lose it you had to have it in the first place. He didn't.

That's why we have so many of these:

I see, he was too stupid to be uncivil. Um, I wonder what the Dixie Chicks Mensa scores were?

of course, calling an officer's comment "stupid," while minor, isn't nearly as bad as telling a Senator to go fuck himself.

Well they are two completely different words; one implies not having the ability to, the other just implies not knowing. I think Bush fell on the side of not wanting to know.

That's it?

Anyway, thanks for the warm & fuzzy memories of a president actually describing our enemy, which targets civilians using terror tactics, as 'terrorists."

Don't be silly. That's such a perversion of the word. The word "terrorist" is much better suited for people opposing government-run healthcare and voicing their opinion.

that's one grain of sand on the beach. the Google will lead you to many more.

also, i'm playing into a discussion that i think its utterly pointless -- the whole, "you were meaner to me."

so i'm out on that topic. someone else can complain about how Nancy Pelosi makes the baby Jesus cry with her meanie comments.

INDY: "Taking back America" was clearly meant as a campaign to take back the country from the repbulicans in the next election. It is 100% different than saying "I WANT MY COUNTRY BACK" and crying after a president has already been democratically elected. Obama was fairly elected and it is nonsense to believe that the country is going to become socialist.

Bush was the worst president in American history. I cant believe anyone still respects him? I dont care what you think of Obama, but at least Obama is extraordinarily intelligent. Can you say the same for W?

Bush was democratically elected, though. So I take it once the 2012 campaign starts, you're fine with the GOP campaigning to "take the country back" from the Democrats? Glad to know you're ok with that.

Wrong. I can't believe people still say this. If you honestly Bush was the worst in history, please take an American history course. Please. I beg you.

No. No, he really isn't. Even if he was, good God he hasn't shown it during the past 2 years. I don't know why people go around saying this all the time when I've seen nothing to validate it. Why do you say he's "extraordinarily intelligent? I'm curious.
