It’s not a manufactured mini-crisis. Bush told them to stop doing it. Obama is just saying, I’m fucking serious, stop doing it.

btw, i saw a wonderful post on another forum i frequent:

Quote:
You're eternally afraid of "big government", so you voted for a so-called small government conservative government for the first eight years of this century. And what did we get? Possibly the worst financial crisis since the Depression, war, misery and a total collapse of infrastructure.

Yeah, fucking awful that big government, eh? Just look at what happened to countries with big governments like, oh, I don't know, half of Western Europe?

Guess what guys. Big government works for 99% of the population. The only reason you buy into the "myth" that it doesn't is because you believe the shit from the top 1%, in the useless hope that *one day* you'll be up there with them - and when that happens, you don't want big government taking a small portion of your imaginary fortune away from you for others who aren't (apparently) as good.

Get over it. Big government is good for you. The status quo is screwing you in the ass and all you're doing is asking for a bigger cock.

perhaps we can all look to one credible source for an informed opinion, a former Secretary of State?

I thank the 'fair and balanced" news network for broadcasting this.

I did. Huckabee seemed to try and lead him and Baker didn't bite.

Baker just told it like it really is. Perhaps some of our 'conservative' posters will see this really is not a partisan issue.

Reminded me that the Bush 1 years, weren't that bad.

agreed. i was too young to have gotten this much into policy, but this was interesting:

Individual Mandate, Now Vilified By GOP, Was Supported By George H.W. Bush

I've always found it odd that they try and make into one... I used to think there was just something about the issue that I was missing because I never understood why posts like Bluer's were being made...

I think it's just part of their handbook and they're not even sure why anymore.

Lol, seems like they wouldn't stand a chance. I'm more middle-of-the-road, which I guess would be viewed as being as bad as conservative.
