Well geez, maybe he's just giving the people what they want - and that's what democracy is, right?! In this case, Tony has decided that the people want an unaccountable father figure who will assure us that this is hurting him much more than it's hurting us, and don't worry, he'll be vindicated in the next life!

I wish Parky had called him on his shit.

There was never any chance of that, Parky must be the easiest interviewer going. He wouldn't have gone on if there had been any chance of being called on it. To be fair though he's got more questions to answer on Iraq than whether he prayed about it.
 
Oh yeah, Parky's pretty soft-centred for sure. Mostly he does film stars and whatnot... but I get the feeling he's not particularly political, so thought he might tell Tony something like 'oh come ON!'

Anyway on second thoughts I have revised my position guys. Tony Blair is just saying he has divine sanction, what's the big deal guys? :wink:
