I have seen this printed out

I got it as an email once

I prefer it in that format

It should make one pause and think

Why what one believes is any more valid

Or why one should have so much more than others
and that striving to consume and own is not without consequences

Just about every member of this board should realize how blessed we are.

Perhaps you would like the term "lucky"....

But if you use other terms for yourself, that's fine....

as an American

that has a standard of living

far exceeding needs

and an excessive consumer

I plead guilty

when I hear politicians say we are taking actions to protect our way of life

i wonder if it is justified

and I am not surprised many in the world think poorly of U S actions

The actions of the goverment "protecting our way of life" or the actions of the citizens who consume to excess?
