Indeed, I can. I am happy for every cheering Iraqi, I am sad for every killed human being throughout this war.

Why is this family so happy?
Do you think its because they finally feel safe enough to be happy?

If Salome shakes it a valid point, I will take some time for an answer, julius

Also before the war, I was happy for every Iraqi cheering, and sad for everyone who lost his life.

The war has not ended yet. You cant say if the final outcome is good or bad for a majority of Iraqis by showing happy pictures or pictures of crippled children. In some years we will see if life has changed positively for a majority of Iraqis. Until then, there is a lot to be done, not only rebuliding and democratic elections of the leaders the Iraqi population favors.

Even when I see cheering like this, it doesnt make me believe in war. I believe in love.

I wonder if Janeane Garofalo will make good on her word?

Quote:
OReilly: If you are wrong, all right, and if the United States -- and they will, this is going to happen -- goes in, liberates Iraq, people in the street, American flags, hugging our soldiers, all right, we find all kinds of bad, bad stuff, all right, in Iraq, you gonna apologize to George W. Bush?

Garofalo: I would be so willing to say Im sorry, I hope to God that I can be made a buffoon of, that people will say you were wrong, you were a fatalist, and I will go to the White House on my knees on cut glass and say, hey, you were right, I shouldnt have doubted you. But I think to think that is preposterous.

The towns were liberated and such, but now who is going to stop this horrific looting and chaos? I'm telling you, this is scaring the pants off of me. Damn. It's a mess.

The administration doesn't really care about the situation. Or we would have guards around. What is sad is theat there is no black market for these people to sell their goods for food/water. Why the hell isn't the water back on. I'm starting to believe that we are holding the Iraqi people hostage to support us.

How many days in control of Um Qusar?

hey diamond...those families are great...I'm truely happy for them.

but what about the dozens of families left homeless after todays urban battles in baghdad? Just as I saw footage of hundreds cheering and celebrating I also saw footage of hundreds angry and wounded, some taking up the chant, "God is Great, down with America"...

Don't get me wrong, I am smiling and laughing when I see these people so happy in places like Kirkuk...but I realize there are many who feel completely opposite.

Hmmmm. I'm fairly certain it was Garofalo, not O'Reilly, speaking when she made her promise.
