I'm glad she's okay, but what a difficult decision to have to make .

You know, I hate to think how many cases of post-trauma stress syndrome there are going to be. I just hope they can all be treated by health professionals as it's potentially a pretty serious condition.

I was thinking about this also verte, especially the children. I can't even begin to think what these poor people are going through.

She had no choice. When they are being evacuated (like by helicopter or whatever) people are forced to leave pets behind.

"Flags and a sign that says "We Shall Return" serve as symbols of defiance and resolve that Brian Mollere struggles to match in the last light of another long day.

"I think we're blessed," he says, as he calls to Rocky.

That's one slender, solitary thought that helps him sleep"

MSNBC just had a story about a woman rescued in New Orleans today. She was trapped in an apartment stairwell, in chest deep water, for 10 days!

Hurricane Katrina refugee Valerie Bennett, of Slidell, La., presses her face to her dog, Lady, after they were reunited at Emory Hospital in Atlanta, Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2005. She and her husband, Lorne, had to leave behind four of their pets when Lorne, a liver transplant patient, had to be evacuated in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, to a liver specialist for supervision

Hurricane Katrina refugee Heidi Banner of Slidell, La., holds her six-month-old daughter Tytianna Freeman outside a Marion, Ind. motel on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2005. The infant was reunited with her parents late Wednesday after a local minister drove 1,600 miles round-trip to retrieve her from a babysitter that heeded a mandatory evacuation order Aug. 25 and fled Slidell, La., just north of New Orleans.

" John Travolta, Kelly Preston and Lisa Marie Presley were part of the Scientology Disaster Response Team that hit Baton Rouge and New Orleans this week. The controversial sci-fi sect doesn't always attach its name to relief activities. But this time, hundreds of "volunteer ministers" proudly wore church T-shirts as they visited a shelter. Travolta personally gave hurricane victims massages - or, as the church calls them, "assists" ..."

I wouldn't mind getting a massage from John Travolta I don't mean to make light of it, just trying to take my mind off how horrible it is

Good for them for helping out, I saw Lisa Marie on Oprah donating so many goods she bought

I just wanted to add a personal note to those that are helping with the relief efforts to the hurricaine victims.

Bless you.

My little sister, her husband and three daughters lost everything.
Her mother (my dad's second wife) lost everything. They were right on the edge of the gulf.
They all got out safely before it hit their homes.
They are all safe and in communities that have banded together to take care of the people that were displaced by the storm. Since I am so far away I am grateful to those that were there to help my family.
