And it might help explain why obesity is a growing problem.

And why soda companies and others are so happy filling us with this crap.

What do you think?

Nice. I love Green Tea. Juice is good. I need to kick the Coke Habbit.

I actually like water. Just plain water. I will drink diet soda when I'm driving fairly long distances. The caffeine and carbonation help keep me more alert.

^^ Itty bitty bladder committee repreSENT!

I've more or less weaned myself off real (non-diet) soda, but will treat myself once in a while to a good ol' Coke.

I drink water throughout the day, but like to have something with flavor with meals. I do need to be better about cutting these nasty high fructose corn syrups and artificial sweeteners out of my diet, though.

But you didn't answer the question:eyebrow:

It doesn't matter if it's refreshing, is it healthier? I'm sure heroin is refreshing, but I'm not going to make it part of my diet...

Who cares if it's healthier? Soda's bad for you no matter what, and HFCS is terrible for you. Soda made with real sugar tastes waaaaay better.

Are the sodas with real cane sugar any better than the ones with HFC?

Well I don't really see how they are insofar that the biggest problem with these drinks is that they are huge sources of empty calories - tons of sugar/carbs and no nutritional value. Replacing HFCS with sugar does nothing significant to change that.

At least the diet ones have no caloric intake to speak of.

High Fructose Corn Syrup

Do a search on high frurtose corn syrup.

It's a lot cheaper for soda companies to use than real sugar.
That's why they use it.

It's a bad thing causing a lot of problems.

If you agree, please let the soda companies know your complaints.
