What a triumph for our country! After many years of trying, our windsurfer Gal Friedman has done us proud and has given us our first olympic gold medal.

For the first time, we will be hearing the Israeli national anthem played at the ceremony and many a tear will be shed when that happens. Tears for the 11 sportsman who were murdered at Munich and who were denied their chance to stand on the podium. Their deaths have been avenged today........

I'm bursting with pride!

Tip Top Mate  I am very happy that Israel has won gold, just dont start beating us in the swimming pool :D.

I love the little quote from an Israeli embassy spokesman - "wow".

Congrats!

Half the people I work with are Israeli, and it was a proud day for all of them. :)
