I understand the emotional attachment to the wedding ring and the bond that it represents, but I'd have a stronger attachment to my finger. You can replace a ring. :|
 
He could have kept the parts of the ring and had a silver or goldsmith remake the ring later. Even if it had to be melted down and recast, that would be more sensible to do. I certainly wouldn't want anyone I loved to choose a ring over a finger.

Indeed. I love my husband more than life itself, but if it came down to my ring or the finger, sorry, the ring goes. And he agrees. He told me, "I love you, not your ring." :love: :cute:
