Make Poverty History!

For those who are sincerely interested in making extreme poverty and unnecessary suffering of millions of poor and vunerable people all over the world HISTORY, check out the launch of a new website out of the U.K. today.

The list of co-sponsoring organizations is HUGE and DIVERSE and really gives a flavor for the COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE degree of utter poverty and suffering present in our world today.

Bono has already given his personal approval to the site and the concept of making poverty history. He said "The year 2005 is our chance to go down in history for what we did do rather than for WHAT WE DIDN'T. This campaign is critical and is coming to a stadium and pulpit near you."

(Bono was quoted out of The Guardian newspaper)

Mohandas Gandhi once said that poverty is the cruelest form of terrorism.

In a world where 30,000 people die EVERY DAY from totally preventable causes such as lack of clean water, lack of proper nutrition and lack of access to life-saving drugs, this website is ANOTHER CALL TO JUSTICE for the millions in our world who wallow away every day - unseen and forgotten by the developed world.

This website attempts to give those who are voiceless ANOTHER VOICE in order to SHAKE UP THE TREE OF JUSTICE so that her fruits will be more evenly distributed to EVERYONE on earth.

I highly encourage us all here to check out this website aand to do whatever more we can to help bring about a FAIRER WORLD FOR ALL!

Me too Jamila!

I love the intro song. "Mad World" cover by I forget who, originally done by Tears for Fears. It works well with the photos.
