Robert W., Berlin: When you?re looking back, do you regret that you accepted the difficult job as the head of the ?Unmovic? instead of enjoying your retirement?
Hans Blix: No. I am glad that I had the opportunity to assist in this difficult affair. I am sorry that we were not enabled to continue inspections. The war might have been avoided. However, I am pleased that we were able to show that international, independent professional inspection came to results that were closer to the truth and reality than intelligence agencies which were dependent upon national governments.
