They are accused of that, yes.

I think the reason more women respond more openly to the question of same-sex feelings or experiences is because an afeminite lesbian is more socially acceptable than an afeminite gay man. Women are expected by our society to be girly and delicate, and the idea of two feminine, girly girls feeling each other up seems relatively harmless and seems to be a fantasy of most heterosexual men. People don't really take it seriously, because it doesn't seem that 'unnatural' to the populace.

But men acting afeminite and girly? Why, that goes against all the rules! Men are supposed to be burly, manly, like cheerleaders and sport fucking. The idea of two afeminite men, or even one afeminite man in a homosexual relationship is a turn-off because it is in direct opposition to our instituted societal norms, unlike an afeminite lesbian couple. Obviously, 'butch' lesbians would receive the same negative sanctions an afeminite male couple would. But most people - especially men - when they think of lesbians, tend to think of two hot chicks feeling each other up. And what's wrong with that, right?

What does that say about heterosexuals? That all the "nice" ones are gay? Why? Why cant a woman being independant, or a man be thoughtful, and also heterosexual? I have never understood this. Its appears as if heterosexuals hate themselves. Or something. There cant possible be nice sensible heteros.

Hetero men are selfish, stupid brutes, while hetero women are suppressed by abusive husbands who force them to stay home and poop out a litter of babies.

That's the hetero stereotype.

But, but, but, as the heteros control the world, why are the hetero stereotypes negative, and the homosexual male stereotypes positive?

Makes little sense.

Is it really? I mean yes, there are those types, but is that really the stereotype? Wow if it is.

I'd like to think I don't fit in that stereotype.

I'm very hetero. I love women. I love women of all shapes and sizes. The majority of my friends are female. I have lots of males friends, but the majority of them are from college and ealier, since my graduation from college I've made very few male friends. A few, but a lot of them gay.

Since I've moved to Chicago and newly single I get asked all the time if I'm gay. One reason is I live right at the edge of Boystown, and two I'm very what most call metrosexual.

But now back to subject of the thread, I'm attracted to females, never thought about kissing a man, but I have had 2 dreams in my life where I pursued a man. Both were men that I really admire. Men that at I guess at some sub-concious level wish I could be more like.

Well, take a look at TV sitcoms. Dumb, chubby and rather plain looking men whose penis seems to override their brain with a thin, pretty wife who is smart, yes, but is little more than a mother figure to pamper their lazy husbands.
