So, give peace a chance, and give the negotiations a chance. With no backup in the public it's hard to become a member of anything.
You do realize that the negotiations might not even start, right?

Anyway, here is the latest from Turkey. The minister of foreign affairs said he wouldnt fly to Luxembourg without first seeing the protocol. The prime minister said if the talks dont start on time, Turkey would walk away for good.

I honestly cant believe that i find myself agreeing with them, but i do. although i appreciate all the effort britain has showed, it just wasnt enough. even if austria is dealt with and the talks start, with issues like armenia and cyprus integrated into the negotiation process, we would find it very difficult to go on.

Hm, didn't hear anything that anybody planned not to take part in the negotiations or that the negotiations should be postponed.

Here they said the negotiations start on 3rd October.
but I worked all the day and didn't get todays news.

Yes, the EU is a political system. They know how they can do everything wrong.

As far as I know the genocide in Armenia isn't something that was made up by somebody, it really happened.
So, like I said, you have to be open minded to your own history. You are not the first country facing huge mistakes made in history.
Nobody blames you because opf what happened in the history, but everybody blames you if you want to ignore it.
No European country can say its history is totally "clean", also Japan and the USA made mistakes in their history, as well as other countries. But all are open minded to that.

I would say in the end the negotiations will start as planned on monday.
And it wouldn't be very clever to stop the negotiatons before they started.

That's unfortunate. Turkey's EU membership prospects are not looking good, I'm afraid, there's too much opposition from the Europeans.

It changes from day to day.
Some are saying Turkey is as good as a member, the others say Turkey has no chance.
It's not a good starting into negotiations, because there are too many who are on fixed positions, and too many who already say how the negotiations will end.
That is poison for the talkings.
They should be neutral to that, and not make clear their positions.
