Does anyone know the name of the award given by the state of Israel to "righteous gentiles" who've saved Jewish lives? I'm investigating one of the recipients of this award, a Turk. I currently know nothing about him, including not, needless to say, the name of this award!:reject: :help: :banghead: :uhoh: :censored:
Thanks in advance to anyone who knows and can tell me!

It occurs to me that I know a little bit about one recepient of this award--Oscar Schindler. I think I'll investigate this and get hold of a recommended book about Turkey, the Jews and WWII.

Thanks for the link! Cool site! Yes, that's what I'm looking for. The Turk who was honored with this medal in 1990 is Selahattin Ulkumen, who saved many Greek Jews from the Nazis while working in Rhodes during WWII.
