I've been to a church and I've been to a mosque.

Well, your post is a bit assuming that people here haven't informed themselve about religions beside their own (or, well, their non-religion).

Well said and I agree with you!

Head scarves are worn by Muslim woman as modest clothing. Orthodox Jewish women wear head coverings too. I see nothing wrong with wanting to understand another person's religious beliefs. I think education make people less fearful.

I got halfway through the article before I realised it didn't have anything to do with Subway sandwich shops.

Subway goes hala

SANDWICH chain Subway is to open two Halal-only stores in Manchester.

The shops in Cheetham Hill and Levenshulme, expected to open next month, will serve exclusively Halal meat in line with Muslim dietary rules.

Subway already has a successful Halal store in Walthamstow, London, and the company is planning to open seven in Greater Manchester and West Yorkshire in the next few months.

The Halal meat will be certified by the Islamic Foundation which ensures that all animals are slaughtered according to strict Muslim methods.

This involves cutting the animal’s throat with a sharp knife after praying to Allah.

I believe Muslims follow a similar diet as do the Jews. I know neither, eats pork and they don't add preservatives nor any steroids. Making the food, much healthier.

Am I truly that significant to the objectivity of a proselytising website?

Does it matter that most of the Muslims I have run are alright people with some dumb ideas, I count declaring that people need God to do anything good as a dumb idea, I don't single Muslims out for holding those types of opinions.

while i have no issue with the content of the ads whatsoever and could care less if they're placed on subways, this is not a freedom of speech issue, 'cause i don't believe the bill of rights covers the right to advertise on a subway car that's owned by someone else.

the MTA owns these cars, and if they feel the person behind the ads is one they don't want to get involved with, even if the message it's self is harmless, then that is their right.
