I was not going there

I have heard it said that Jews consider him a Rabbi or teacher.

They may believe that the 'son of God" was added by believers.

They may hold him in high regard
Much like Islam does.

I'm not being argumentative; I'm truly asking.
It's also my impression that it's the same God. I have heard the Pope refer to the "Children of Abraham" meaning the Christians, Jews, and Muslims. When you think about it the Christian God, the Trinity, is different from the Jewish God as well since the Jews don't accept the divinity of Christ. So are we talking three God concepts or three Gods?
That'll probably get me excommunicated.

That's true. Some of the characters in the stories are the same, but even they have differences as far as what they do and who they are. For example, in Islam, Jesus was a prophet, but not the Son Of God. Therefore, even though they have the same name and are based on the same man, they do not paint the same pictue of who Jesus is, so he is eesential not the same Jesus in these two faiths.
Sorry, I did my last post before I read some of your posts answering pax's question about God.

The Judeo-Christian reference is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Islam claims the blessing went to Ishmael.

McCain wouldn't make it in today's Democratic party. I'll give you Rudy though.

He was not with the secular left either. He was his own man.

He wasn't against idol worshiping religions per say, but he made it clear that only those who strived to follow his commandments would reach Heaven.

And how many commandments does it take to make it to the highest tier of heaven? I'm still waiting for this answer.

It's not measurable like that. A true christian will strive to follow all of the commandments. If your heart truly belongs to God you won't totally disregard one of the lords commandments. Will all christians follow every commandment? No. But the sign of a true christian is the DESIRE to.

People who openly and blatantly disregard some of the Lord's most important teachings obviously aren't christians, and will have no place in Heaven.

God judges the heart, he doesn't count up your rights and wrongs.
