Try being Canadian and having to learn BOTH...half the country still uses the imperial system, the other half metric. Our gas in in litres, our spelling is half British, half Imperial (we use the "u" in colour, although it's all being phased out...i.e. litres vs liters...) We have to learn both standards of naming in Chemistry. Our weight is in pounds and our height in in feet and inches, although we measure distance in kilometres, centimetres, etc. It's bloody insane.
