I will probably regret asking, but what are you talking about? Please explain your logic here. Tie the two together and explain why anyone will be "pissed".

Hey if we're going to talk about money making businesses and this topic, let's take a good look at those lovely megachurches, the Vatican and every other organized Christian denomination, the various "Christian family" orgainization and whatever other names they go under and so on. It would be so much fun!!!

I'd say that this discovery in itself is a major contribution to science, regardless of the moral dilemma it resolves (or not).

Embrace the goodness!

As far as 'pandering to certain groups' WHO CARES as long as it was successful? If 'certain groups' gave the scientists the idea to look for alternatives and those alternatives worked, all the better for us all.

We're all in agreement that this is a good thing.

We're just commenting that it's a shame that we had to look for alternatives instead of focusing on research fully. That's a good amount of wasted time that could have been used for more forward research instead of treading water waiting for something "acceptable" for the conservatives.

diamond, what on earth has this got to do with abortion? Yeah, we're talking embryos, but abortion isn't the issue here.
