Hmm...my first time in this forum and quite interesting indeed.

Haven't seen the ads but I can imagine what they look like. ABC is actually going to try to get more ratings and sell more ads by actually airing the Victoria Secret fashion show this month in prime time television.

And if you think a Victoria Secret ad is bad, don't get me started on Brtiney Spears' new video. If I wanted to watch soft porn, I wouldn't be watching MTV. And yet, Britney Spears sweating and panting showed up on my TV.

here's a quick question, 80s. did you look at the porn out of loneliness perhaps? or did you find yourself looking at it even during relationships?

i do not believe humanity was created to be alone. so, perhaps, if my hypothesis here is correct, porn filled your void for sexuality, not filled by humanity. and what's even worse is that we are conditioned to wait longer and longer before committing to relationships. the anti-fornication laws in the bible were easier, because people often got married at 13-15. now, i swear, it gets later and later (mid-20s), while we are physically maturing earlier and earlier. it's an honest recipe for disaster. i agree with the destructiveness of porn, but we have still done little to solve the true epidemic in society: a lack of love and intimacy.

thanks for sharing, either way. bathtime fun whortense? loves bare honesty.

Well, to be honest, I've never been truly lonely. I've always been blessed to have loving friends and family around. The odd thing is that I honestly have a VERY low sex drive. I don't think about sex hardly at all. Even when I would give in to temptation and look at Playboy, it was never accompanied by thoughts of "Oooh, I'd like to have sex with that woman". So, it wasn't sexual in the sense of the "sex act", but in the sense of overall sexuality and sensuality. While it might be true that I was tempted more in time periods when I didn't have female companionship, that really didn't have anything to do with whether I actually looked at Playboy or not. The truth is that if I tell God "Lord, I know this is not your will for me, and it is Satan who wants me to do this; I want to be in your will. Give me your strength to resist", and things like that, it never failed. I always resisted the temptation. However, if I tried to resist based on my own willpower and left prayer out of the battle, I might win a battle or two, but Satan would come on back and I would eventually lose.
While I agree that everyone needs love, I don't think that means sexually. I'm 34 years old, have only had sexual relations for a 6 month period 11 years ago, and honestly don't miss it. Now, take away my family and my friends, and I'm a mess.
