Happy 4th of July 80s and to all that celebrate it.

So I was out on the Esplanade in Boston celebrating the 4th with n hundred thousand people. The Mormon Tabernacle Choir performed a brief set. But as the crowd joined them in a rendition of the Battle Hymn of the Republic, they changed the lyrics. In the last verse is the line "as He died to make men holy, let us die to make men free." They replaced "die" with "live," and I think we can all guess why they did that.

Sing it right or don't sing it at all, dammit.

We had 100,000 here at the beach.

Wow...the people-watching there seems to have been a lot more exciting than the people-watching in Boston.
