Any thoughts or ideas on the ultimate role of goernment both past. present and in the future.

I think the government should be an organizer to help give everyone the best standard of living as possible.

Many important things have bin said plus:

a) Ensure the business environment is ok (eg Taking care that the Free Market works (-> anti trust laws))

b) Take care of the Environment (protecting "free of charge goods" like Air etc)

c) Ensuring maximum personal liberty of his citizens and foreigners.
