True Angela, but that's a vocal minority.
Far-Left crazies that despise Bush and blame America for all the worlds problems can be found right here in this country. Sane people recognize that America isn't perfect and can have honest disagreements about issues -- while at the same time recognizing that America is an agent of goodwill and charity around the globe and the greatest defender of liberty in history.

I fully agree with the last part of your post-I've said it before, I love this country (and I will defend it to those who think there's nothing good about it at all), I just disagree with some of the actions of people who live here. Which is why I will speak up whenever I think certain actions are being taken that make us look bad, because I don't want us to look bad.

However, are the dissenters as small a group as you claim? And while some of them may be "crazies", there's others whose criticisms have some merit, and it would be in our best interests to listen to them. They're our friends for a reason. If I see one of my friends doing something stupid, am I going to stand by or am I going to point it out to them, possibly stop them if I can?

But we basically ignored their warnings, gave them the middle finger, and said, "Screw you, we're doing this anyway." And that is one reason of many why they're upset.

Not so fast Amigo. Looks like NBC will indeed air the "controversial" ad featuring the "too political" language:
Quote:
“As we celebrate the holidays, it is important to remember the sacrifices these brave men and women stationed throughout the world make each day to defend our freedom. Freedom’s Watch is honored to support their services and say ‘thank you,’”
In a statement issued Saturday evening, NBC said:
"We have reviewed and changed our ad standards guidelines and made the decision that our policy will apply to content only and not to a referenced Web site. Based on these amended standards the Freedom's Watch ad will begin to run as early as Sunday."
