Normal Dozens Die as Russian City is Raided

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/4337100.stm

Civilians are feared to be among 60 people killed in clashes between police and gunmen in Russia's volatile North Caucasus, say Russian media reports.

President Vladimir Putin has ordered Nalchik city in Kabardino-Balkaria province to be sealed off and for forces to shoot any armed resisters.

The Chechens are unbelievably ruthless.

Unfortunately, I am not sure if monsieur Putin is much better.

You may be right about the Chechen rebels, but they're hardly the only ruthless ones here. The Russian army aren't really known for their kindness to civilians...

Yes, unfortunately the innocent civilians (Russian and Chechen) are caught between two incredibly ruthless and unforgivable sides. Neither side is clean, you can't pick one.
