He's miserable because he doesn't believe in miracles?

I don't believe in miracles, and if you met me you'd say I'm one of the most pleasant people you know. So he's not dreary or miserable because he doesn't share your beliefs.

I will not lump you int the same lot as the author of the article.
You seem to have more personality in your small pinky than this author.
And yes your signature chart is looking more palatable this days.

thank u-

I agree.

But aren't miracles not only the occurance but the emotion in the occurance? There was a story about a church in Boston that is being shut down by the archiocese. At the end of Mass, after 100 years, the Virgin Mary statue on the altar fell over. Now, some people will say there was a probability that after 100 years a statue would become unstable in its foundation and there is a 1 in 500,000 chance it will fall blah blah blah. But the people who saw it believed it was a sign, a miracle if you will. But where in these stats is there the emotional element, the belief element?

How do you explain the people who leave Lourdes healed? It was just a mental block that they couldn't use their feet? Or stigmata -- is it common for people to have holes in their hands that bleed? He doesn't answer all the questions with this little regurgitation of stats.

no, i don't. i used to, but at this point i would have to witness the so-called miracle first hand for a question of its authenticity to even enter my mind.

i saw a great show on the discovery channel over the summer about noah's arc and the whole flood story. in that case, god would have had to manufacture more h2o than is present on our earth and then prevent the water in the atmosphere from drowning people when they breathed. unlikely scenarios i think.

i'm a christian but i grapple with miracles. as for heaven, i believe that there is some sort of life after death. whether its some place up in the clouds or being a guardian angel or whatnot, i don't know. i'll find out when i die!

You live and you die, I think that when you die you just loose conciousness and your mind pumps out neurochemicals to make your passing easier. Anything greater than that would just be a bonus to me, so basically I am never going to be disapointed.
