It's time for a "fact check" and that's why this site exists:

In short, he didn't condone abortion clinic bombings.

NARAL's ad is politely a stretch, and could be described as fraud.

They are trying to link Robert's signature on a 1991 amicus brief to a 1998 abortion clinic bombing.

Hm. Check out this week's Atlantic Monthly. This guy is actually has the potential to be a closet liberal...he is VERY reluctant to overturn precidents, esp when they are major rulings that have become solid law. Unlke Scalia or Clarence Thomas, who are "activist" judges who like to set examples by dramtically voting by the issue. Thus he would do things like public opinionion into count, and 65% of the court wanty Roe untampered with. The first thing Ried asked him about was precidents. Also, the enviroment is one of Robert's pet cuases. he won a major ruling against a contruction firm in the early 80's, that was called one of the biggest environemental victories in the past 25 yrs. He is actually good friends and close to the most liberal justice on the court, Souter.

This comes from the Atlantic Monthly, a left-leaning mag, not a conservative one that would have it in their best interests to spin the spin... Let's see if I can find the link...It's caled "The Stealth Justice"...
