Fourth-grader suspended over suspected 'Jell-O shots'

NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana (AP) -- An 8-year-old girl was suspended for nine days for bringing to school what appeared to be about 30 "Jell-O shots" -- though it was unclear whether they contained alcohol.

I think it's sad the kid has to suffer no matter if there was alcohol or not.

I wonder why the child referred to them as Jell-o shots? Sounds like this 8-year old has parents who like to party.

My Mom's in her sixties and I don't think she even knows what Jello shots are

I think the most scandalous thing I ever brought to school was a valentine for a boy

that's some mighty bad parenting going on there. i'm not sure the girl should have been suspended when her mother was the one who told her to take them to school. when you're 8, and your mom tells you to do something, you're not really in a position to ponder whether or not you should listen to her. what was her mother thinking?
