A leading political figure in Alabama got busted for fraud last week. He's Don Siegelman, our former governor, a Democrat, who narrowly lost a re-election bid in 2002. I don't know anything about the fraud charges, but it shows that political corruption in my state is alive and well. He's the third governor to have ethics problems since 1986.

On a more positive note, two of three candidates endorsed by former Justice Roy Moore lost in the primaries yesterday, including one in my Congressional District. We kept our debt-relief supporting good compassionate conservative Spencer Bachus. Yay!
