Bush Press Conference Tonight @ 8:00

22:19 | Bush expected to announce progress in Bin Laden hunt (UPDATE)

By THE JERUSALEM POST INTERNET STAFF

According to Israel Radio, US President Bush is expected to announce significant progress in the hunt for arch-terrorist Osama Bin Laden.

Media reports worldwide carried rumors that Bush was expected to announce Bin Laden's capture, but White House Spokesman, Ari Fleischer, was quoted as saying that President Bush was not going to announce that the terrorist had been captured.

Bush is expected to give a speech from the White House at 03:00 Israel time.

An intelligence official in Islamabad, Pakistan, said that US and Pakistani intelligence agencies are tightening the noose around Bin Laden's hideout, which is believed to be in the Baluchistan province of Pakistan on the border with Iran.

I have been hearing rumors all day that Bin Laden might be captured. I think it's too much to hope for though I don't know why they would take the risk of making any of this info public.

As for GWB, I predict he will look like this at least once

He rarely has press conferences. I wonder if he'll set some sort of record for that...

I highly doubt it has anything to do with capturing Bin Laden. I'm sure we'll here something about the war on terror, but I predict that he will be carefully outline the next week, and what is going to be happening in Iraq. Just my guess though.....

I can sense the "I am not convinced about Iraq" replies already being prepared.

Was the Speech that bad that they prefer to talk about Blairs MTV appereance when i click on Bushs picture on the cnn website?

Do you think the man who wants to bring democracy to Iraq cares about the democracy in the UN? Do you think he will care about the possible 3 Veto "NO"? or will he just ignore it and declare everything and everyone for "irrelevant" wich dosn't share his opinion?

Iraq destroyed about 20% of all of their long-range rockets, they started to tell where the anthrax is, of course we need the presure, Saddam isn't a nice guy who will do it without preasure, but why the ??? does bush hurry for war? Isn't North Korea more urgent? Will he behave the same way with north Korea? Weak diplomacy which has to be "fixed" by the US army?

I can't get into politics tonight. Am I nuts, or maybe just picking a crummy time to burn out?

It was a terrible press conference. Not only did he avoid all the questions, but he didn't say a damn thing that we already didn't know. A complete waste of time.

i saw a reluctant warrior still patiently imploring a ruthless dictator to disarm before it really is too late.

no it wasnt melon. its a common tactic to instill at every possible chance into the american public that "we" have a right to "protect" ourselves.

he made several comments, though not direct ones, at linking saddam to 9/11. thats clever because people dont need to really have to remember what he actually said (as in facts) to back up his claim, rather the sheer mention of the two as twins is good enough.

if you tell someone something enough times, you can make them believe 2+2=5.

i hope no radiohead fan reads that...
