burka and ethics

Interesting. When I was in Egypt a couple of years ago, we were walking along a beach outside of Port Said. There was a couple holding hands, enjoying the day together.

Our tour guide commented that the women in the burka was likely not the man's wife - he made some observations about their behavior, their PDA's, etc. I guess it is not uncommon to use the burka to hide one's identity, not just out of modesty.
