I don't think I am.

Shart is saying that God's "true" children are the fundamentalists. So I ask again...what does that make those who don't identify as fundamentalists?

See my last post on the previous page.

And I'll throw something else in real quick. The Bible doesn't say that christians aren't to judge. It's one of the biggest misconceptions in the Bible. The Bible tells christians to judge righteously. What's righteous is another debate, but nowhere in the Bible does it say that christians shouldn't judge.

I forgot the exact verse but I'll look it up if you'd like.

I think that you misunderstood what Shart was saying. I don't think Shart was saying anything bad about anyone. I think he was challenging Bono's implied definition of fundamentalists.I think he was simply saying that the true fundamentalists are the ones who strive to follow God in every way.

Generally, not chopped liver.

I'll let shart answer the rest if she hasn't already.

Are non-premiums allowed to get "sex changes?"

Non-premiums can edit their profile all they want. Premiums are the only ones who can read them, though.

He still hasn't answered my question, though. What I'm asking is, if fundamentalists are the true children of God, what other kinds of "children of God" are there? Fake ones? And what kind of children of God, then, are non-fundamentalists?

I believe we're all children of God, and I suspect the Bible would say the same.

if you follow Gods word you'll end up in heaven and be rewarded for your faith.

so it's all about getting a reward -- like a shiny new bicycle?

tell me, is there a ranking order of Christians? do they get better rooms in heaven? is it like first class, business class, and then the rest of us who think, yes i believe in god, and yes, i do believe in Christ, but i'm not going to spend my life making righteous judgements based upon literal interpretations of a text written thousands of years ago -- are we in coach?

i'm sorry, but the lack of humility drives me absolutely bonkers. who are you to pretend to know what God thinks?

the arrogance, combined with the politicization of a belief system (as Melon has, as always, beautifully demonstrated), is precisely why so many people have fallen away from Christianity. it's the grafting of man-made capitalist notions of "reward" onto something like salvation -- things that cannot be understood in human terms -- and then claims on ownership of some sort of truth.

sorry, not for me.

not my God.

How are we as humans suppose to judge righteously?

And since some of God's children will be "rewarded richly" do the untrue children not get rewarded or just less. I mean if you get the penthouse suite and I'm on floor say 2, will I get to visit or do you have to come visit me?

This is the arrogance that kills me. That after all the grace, all the forgiveness, and all the love, some still think they deserve more.

A christian can judge righteously with God's word, nothing else. The Bible is God's word, he gave it to us so we could know some things about him. The Bible has certain commandments that can't be ignored. I don't believe you can ignore God's word and go to Heaven, because JESUS SAID SO.

I'm not making up my own laws, I'm basing what I'm saying off of what the Bible says.

And according to the Bible some people will be rewarded more than others in Heaven. Don't ask me for all the details because I don't know everything, but apparently there is different levels of reward.

You know what, I'm tired of people calling me ignorant. I'm the only one quoting the Bible here, why is that ignoarnt. Since when did God's word become a mute point in christianity. It's just ridiculous.
