While expecting this to turn into another FYM free-for-all, I'm honestly seeking some explanations for Bono's collaboration with Pat Boone on a tribute to Billy Graham.

I was still recovering from the Hillary Clinton and Rick Santorum Hosting Fundraisers at U2 Shows Flap and then the pro-Bush remarks on Conan, when I stumbled across this whole story.

(One version is here:

Can someone post a transcript of what Bono actually said to introduce Rev. Grahham?

Can anyone document Bono's actuall position on why he admires Billy Graham?

I noticed a previous thread in here that suggested that Graham is not "political" but his career suggests support for war, homophobia, antiabortion views, and documented and apologized for antisemitism.

I know Bono, Boone, and Billy all love Jesus--but speaking out for a person on a tribute album suggests some deeper collusion with the creepy things Billy and Boone actually stand for, does it not?

I'm not trying to start a negative thread here, just stretching my mind and my heart a bit.
