Is that you in your avatar? I can't tell if it's a famous person or not.

it's totally Jude.

kind of a tribute to the fact that, over course of watching "the talented mr. ripley" i kind of came to the conclusion that i was pretty much totally gay.

great film, too. ever notice that Dickie is much "gayer" than Tom? what a tease ...

Maybe because I can't see his eyes well I decided it wasn't him. It's just not right how hot he is, though.

You know, when I saw Talented Mr. Ripley I really didn't like it much. However, recently several people who generally like the same movies I do have talked about how amazing it was so I guess I need to rent it and see it again. I hardly even remember the story line. Maybe there was weed involved.

Did you like Closer?

"ripley" gets better every time i see it. loads of subtext, and not just the gay subtext, but subtext about the subtext. and Jude glows Minghella is a great director, and good gosh, Italy is so sumptuous in that movie.

and Phillip Seymour Hoffman is brilliant in it as well.

i liked "Closer" but it was fairly cold. kind of a technical exercise in cinematic and acting technique, i thought, but it's always fun to watch some of the most beautiful people on the planet being utterly horrible to each other. and, strangely, in that movie, i found Clive Owen much hotter than Jude.

I agree about Clive Owen. They were all horrible and cold indeed, but I guess I was particularly impressed with Julia Roberts. And though it was cold, I guess it triggered stuff in me that made it all quite intense. Yeah, I had an intense experience with that movie, lol.

was there pot involved?

i remember the first time i got really stoned i watched "hannah and her sisters" very, very closely. it kind of blew my mind.

sober, i can't possibly explain why.

for me, pot makes good movies better and bad movies worse.

I watched some damn Andy Warhol movie stoned once. It was the third and last time I ever smoked pot. I realized that pot wasn't the drug for me. I have never felt so completely STUPID as I did just sitting there, an hour of my life gone by, watching an Andy Warhol movie. It was even the one with Perry King in it, and Perry King is hot.

I have a female friend who is straight. Completely straight. She likes men. A lot. In fact, she confessed to me that while she can't stand straight porn, she loves gay porn. And then she threatened to kill me if I told anyone.....I wouldn't confess her name in a million years. She's kind of embarrassed about it.

I think, 'whatever floats you boat, honey'. But I was wondering what a gay man might think about it....cute?....weird?....whatever?
