I remember one of my older brothers playing "school" with me when I was 5 or 6. He spelled out words with magnetic Fisher Price alphabet letters and taught me what they were. And my older sister, who I shared a room with, was a huge reader, so I was completely surrounded by books. I was always trying to read them, even though they were way over my head (she's 10 years older than me).
