Are Cell Phones Wiping Out Our Bees?

http://news.independent.co.uk/enviro...cle2449968.ece

We use to have plenty of colonies in our area. They would cover our vegetables in spring and summer.

We see very few bees now.

Yeah, Dreadsox posted two other articles last week, but this is the first one that discusses the mobile phone theory.

Why are we so flippant about this?

I wonder if anyone has carefully examined the impact of the plants that the bees are pollinating on the bees -- and their immune systems. As modified 'franken-foods' become more prevalent -- long-term risks may become more prevelant as well. The impact on bees might well prove to be an unintended consequence of "progress".

Are you suggesting we should dismiss these concerns out of hand?

As just being alarmist,
with nothing to them?

No. Just the opposite. Aren't we just as flippant about global warming as we are about the bees?
