I don't remember that part of the Bible.

There's a really amazing description of drunkenness in Proverbs, I think it is. Pretty graphic.

Proverbs 23:31-35:

Do not gaze at wine when it is red, when it sparkles in the cup, when it goes down smoothly!

In the end it bites like a snake and poisons like a viper.

Your eyes will see strange sights and your mind imagine confusing things.

You will be like one sleeping on the high seas, lying on top of the rigging.

"They hit me," you will say, "but I'm not hurt! They beat me, but I don't feel it! When will I wake up so I can find another drink?"

Also let us not forget the counsel of the Bard:

MACDUFF.
Was it so late, friend, ere you went to bed,
That you do lie so late?

PORTER.
Faith, sir, we were carousing till the second cock: and drink, sir, is a great provoker of three things.

MACDUFF.
What three things does drink especially provoke?

PORTER.
Marry, sir, nose-painting, sleep, and urine. Lechery, sir, it provokes and unprovokes; it provokes the desire, but it takes away the performance: therefore much drink may be said to be an equivocator with lechery: it makes him, and it mars him; it sets him on, and it takes him off; it persuades him, and
disheartens him; makes him stand to, and not stand to: in conclusion, equivocates him in a sleep, and giving him the lie, leaves him.

You and me both! But that's OK--I don't believe in hell as a place, just as a state of mind.

It only mentions wine. Stick with your old friends, Jack, Jim, and Johnny and you will all be fine.

I would think not. No, I don't think it is.

Oh, btw! I don't know if you'll see this or not sweetie, but did you get my e-mail? Methinks I might have sent it to the wrong addy.
