I don't know...sounds like alast ditch effort to find something credible before a fall election

isn't Uranium a fairly standard and widely used mineral?

I believe somehwere from 16% to 20% of the worlds energy come from it's use, so it wouldn't surprise me if they found it in any country they searched

Some more insight at Reuters (never trust Fox).

The Tuwaitha nuclear complex was dismantled in the early 1990s after the first Gulf War.

But tons of nuclear materials remained there under the seal of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the U.N. nuclear watchdog agency, until last year's U.S.-led invasion of Iraq when it was left unguarded and looted by Iraqi civilians.

So not really important in the case for war. Good that it's kept out of the hands of terrorists. Shame on these dumbasses in the military for not guarding the complex.
