I guess what I was thinking with my previous comments is that if rich people want to blow money on a yacht/overpriced product then they can pay tax on it.

Twould be better if rich people invested the money in the economy.

yeah, I've been working as an accountant for a couple of years now and I have to agree with this

the problem is though that you have to deal with both the problem of taxing different income groups, the results of extreme tax decisions on your economy and with the government having to earn enough tax money

personally I think taxes in the US are too low for the government to be able to help the people who really need it
not because I'm a communist socialist, but because there are just too many people living in too much poverty
