I'll pause to let you all take in the "My running mate showed humility" part of his statement. Yeah.

Thing is, his plea seems to be kinda massively backfiring on him, because...

Jerry Falwell Jr. supporting Trump. You can't make this stuff up, I swear...

And Mike Pence's words and actions here are a prime example of why the Republican Party is in the state it's in now. When even your normally deeply loyal base is calling you out on your shit, you know you've got problems.
It sickens me when people try to use religious guilt to get votes.

I think it means you have to have wealth to have freedom.

Which is actually on the money.

In America, scary rightwing outfits have names like Liberty and Freedom and Heritage. In Australia they call themselves the Institute for Public Affairs.

We do have the Australian Liberty Alliance though, the answer to a question no one asked - uppity upper-middle class reactionaries.

"Who buys U2 records anyway? It's just music for plumbers and bricklayers. Bono, what a slob. You'd think with all that climbing about he does, he'd look real fit and that. But he's real fat, y'know. Reminds me of a soddin' mountain goat."
"And as for Bono, he needs a colostomy bag for his mouth."

In December 2005, PEOPLE writer Natasha Stoynoff went to Mar-a-Lago to interview Donald and Melania Trump. What she says happened next left her badly shaken. Reached for comment, a spokeswoman for Trump said, “This never happened. There is no merit or veracity to this fabricated story.” What follows is Stoynoff’s account.

“Just for the record,” Anderson Cooper asked Donald Trump, during the presidential debate last Sunday, “are you saying … that you did not actually kiss women without (their) consent?”

“I have not,” Trump insisted.

I remember it differently.

I believe it means there is a cost to having freedom.
You know like having to fight for it etc.
