This is not what our founders intended,

They don't belong in the Senate
yes, they would have been allowed to serve in the house,
just like Sally Hemings.

Did you just cut/paste that text, or did you spell country that way twice?

Please tell me that's a typo and not one of your deep "jokes."

Dunno if serious but...

I would like to point out that whoever uses this logic in seriousness is backwards. Sometimes it makes sense (when their views are still applicable to today).

But you've got to realize that our founders also never intended upon freeing slaves, or globalization, or whatever else. The world is ever-changing, and so is this country. Just gotta make sure that change is the right kind of change.

I've just started assuming deep is doing his ironic "this is what some people think!" schtick all the time.

Maybe I'm missing posts where he's being sincere, but oh well, that's what happens when you have a schtick.

I thought as much so I give him the benefit of the doubt, but I still thought it was maybe a worthy tidbit not necessarily towards him but just in general to tack on.

There's nothing wrong with having a schtick, but I must admit that even I, a practised bullshitter and longtime lurker, would not be prepared to lay money on Deep's true opinions of the world.

ah Kevin M ! and Axver i believe

if no one has said anything about why we in the USA are
waiting such long hours on line to vote
i have the answer for you!

i sort of had it last but i felt like one thing was missing and i heard it
earlier on the radio, got it now. :)

According to CNN's exit polls, 55 percent of women voted for Obama, while only 44 percent voted for Mitt Romney. Men preferred Romney by a margin of 52 to 45 percent, and women made up about 54 percent of the electorate. In total, the gender gap on Tuesday added up to 18 percent -- a significantly wider margin than the 12-point gender gap in the 2008 election.

But by all means, keep calling us sluts. That really worked.

Lol at this moron

Yep. Because as we all know, 1, being Christian rules above all else, and 2, Christian=honesty. No wolves in sheep's clothing there.

The responses from the right that have been shared in here are highly amusing.

There's all kinds of blame and spin going on today. But I've been seeing a lot of, "well the only reason ______ voted for Obama was because he gives you free shit."

So all you Obama supporters, what did he give you?

Sanity, intelligence, the chance to see friends of mine be able to move further towards being with and marrying whom they wish, sanity, the chance to get affordable health care, sanity, equal pay for equal work, the continued ability for me to make decisions about my own body...

...oh, and did I mention sanity?

But don't you see? That was always the plan; now Barack Hussein Obama can implement his TRUE agenda!

Socialism, bitches!

I love that people seem to think he's just been biding his time these last four years, like some sort of evil villain in a movie or something. If he's got a really dastardly agenda he might want to, y'know, get moving on getting it going at some point, 'cause otherwise it's going to get kind of boring quickly .

Would I be right in saying that the GOP should be extremely concerned?

They should be, absolutely. But judging from the reactions from the right that have been shared here, it seems like that fact's still yet to really dawn on them.

Now, everybody is jumping on Romney's chain today, getting in his chili.

.... what?

 My thoughts exactly.

Is he still popping pills illegally? 'Cause that'd go a long way towards explaining the WTF-ery of that rant of his.

exactly. i can't even imagine not being supportive of my child's career decision, much less their sexuality. as long as my child is happy, i'll be happy for them. i can't imagine posting hateful comments on someone's fb page, especially my own flesh and blood's.

whether my kid is gay, straight, or bi, as long as they're happy, that's all that will matter.

 This. Pretty simple, really.

Apologies for the multi-quoting, by the way :).

To me, Obama is a pretty milquetoast president, like all presidents stifled by partisan bullshit in the House and Senate. When I supported him in 2008, I foolishly assumed his results would mirror his voting record and uh, no, that's not how things work.

With a Republican majority in the House, it's going to be the same crap as always. The checks and balances system is an intentional hindrance, and everyone seems to forget it exists on election night. If the GOP gets any more irrelevant, maybe the population will go all in on one party and we can get some SERIOUS socialism happening up in here.

The workers will be acquiring the means of production? :hyper:

Wut?

No, I mean, like, Europe. London and stuff. Lots of gays holding hands. I'm not allowed to blow smoke in the face of a co-worker while squeezing a dame's ass. You know, socialism.

Anyone who thought that Obama was going to implement socialism in America in his first four years was laughably ignorant. If they are still making those claims today, they have been downgraded to YOU ARE A FUCKING IMBECILE WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU WOW

Ohhhhh, that socialism.

:panic:

Socialism. That's like, making me buy broccoli, right? Broccoli is gross.

It is time for a North American realignment:
