They were killed in a mine blast...it's a pretty sad story

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned it yet...it has been all over the news here everyday since it happened on thursday....it shows the difference in media coverage between Canada and the US, who obviously can't afford to dedicate so much time to casualities cos there are many more than two.

we always do this...I think it's great, it really makes the soldiers seem like national heros and they get a termendous amount of respect. Today their bodies came back to Canada, and that was covered live.

But I don't know what we would do should we ever find ourselves in the thick of war when soldiers are dying every day.

Canada has about 1,950 soldiers stationed with a 31-country force of 5,500 in Kabul. The Canadians left for Afghanistan in August.

Very sad indeed

There was a soildier from my state killed in Afghanistan last week, and the only reason I knew about it was that it was on my local news
