The sad thing about this is that people are paying for something so they can be the FIRST ones to have it. A year from now, anyone will be able to walk in to any electronics sotre and calmly pick up a PS3 and go to the cashier to pay for it.
Unlike concert tickets, limited editions or collector's items, there is nothing special about a PS3 except that there aren't many available RIGHT NOW! Eventually people will come down after their initial high and realize they were taken for a ride. Very sad commentary on society that people are willing to spend that much money on a video game system which will be in wide circulation in the near future for a retail price.
