i was talking to my brother last nite. he was telling me about how he and his girlfriend had spun out into a ditch on friday night in the ice and snow. they were alright and everything.

but it got me thinking about 'black' ice.

here in canada, we hear the term a lot. it wasn't until this weekend that i really thought about it.

it was then that i realized that 'black' ice isn't really black ice. it's just ice over top of black pavement. if more roads were cyan it would be cyan ice.

i found that interesting.
did you?

I live in south Florida, I never drive over ice either.

I'm glad your loved ones were okay though, kobe.

my creativity(if you could call it that) is slipping.

that was still quite good

i'll bet the :slant:s really slip and slide on the black ice. i hope they were wearing track pants.

black ice IS scary!!

especially in the night time
cos the night is black
AND the pavement is black

In South Dakota the roads are mixed with rubber to prevent pot holes (because freezing then warming then water getting into cravasses and freezing again makes pot holes, rubber roads just e----x-----pa------n-----d with the water and temperature).

Why do you care about this other than the genius of it?

The rubber makes the roads red/pink.

We do not, however, call it red/pink ice.

I for one would like to see cyan ice on the 401 (our biggest highway).

if the gardiner express way were suspended over toronto in a fashionable cyan, no one would want to tear it down.

thank you.

they were wearing pristine black pants.
the slipping and sliding left them unphased.
they're hair remained remained properly coiffed.

Black ice makes me  and :uhoh: and

My car spun around in a circle once and almost crashed into a school bus. :crack:

I hate winter. :sigh:

i cyan. you cyan. we cyan.

the more educated we all are about cyan the better this world will be.
