It's Officially Pumpkin Season

Just got back from my 8-year old son's swim meet. It is the annual "Pumpkin Meet" where the winner of each heat receives a pumpkin.

My son won two of his heats (and was a close second in the other two) netting him two pumpkins. A couple of his teammates (from the same family) were not fairing as well.

Before we left the meet, my son decided to give one of his pumpkins to his teammates.

To me, that was his true victory of the day.

yeah halloween's coming. how can i tell? the grocery store has started putting out the christmas stuff....must be october already!
