I want to get a roll of caution tape and wrap the house. 
I love this thread and can't stay away, and I don't know why.
Have you tried to use the sink anyway?
One time, an old friend of mine and I went out to eat. We were getting pop, and there was a little "out of order" sign over the Coke. I decided to try it anyway, just to make sure it was really out of order. The Coke started spraying in every direction and wouldn't stop. I was mortified yet highly entertained!

i actually do have a roll of caution tape, it's sitting in my desk drawer. i didn't have a roommate to prank on april fool's day, so i never used it.
