I'm leaving to get John in about an hour.

Right now, he should be sitting in Detroit Metro, waiting for his flight to my local airport.

I'm going to bring him back here first so that he can drop off his stuff, and then we are going out for pizza (that's our tradition). After that, we'll have to see how tired he is...if he wants to lie down or not because we are supposed to go out with a few of my friends tonight. I don't want him to be exhausted by the time night comes if we do end up going out! If he's feeling all right though, we'll probably go to the mall or something. Tomorrow, we are going to Detroit with Dad.

And that's just the beginning.

We're just checkin' in...

We ate lunch and came back to my house. We laid in bed and watched TV, and we were just watching part of the Ryan Adams DVD that I got in the mail today from a friend. For the record...JOHN is the one who started the DVD... I didn't force him to watch it!!!

John brought his digital camera too, so we'll make sure to take pictures!

We finally got the camera to work with one of my computers. How frustrating this has been.

John took this picture of me yesterday while I was trying to get it to work...I was not a happy bunny at the time...

Well, Detroit was fun...kind of...I got horribly sick to my stomach as soon as we arrived, and we almost just turned the car around and went home, but I was determined to not ruin the day, so I said we'd give it a shot. We went to the casino at Greektown first so that we could use the bathroom...plus, we found out that John had NEVER been in a casino before! After problems with my ID, we were able to get in. We rode the People Mover around and got out at two stops. The first stop took us by the Comerica Park area...and also by State Theater, where April and I saw Ryan.

BC: *points to the sidewalk* I met Ryan there!!!

Dad & John: *looking at something else, failing to comment*



Anyway...we walked around a little more and got back on the People Mover. We got off by the waterfront next time. John bought a hotdog with a bunch of saurkraut, and the smell was too strong for my stomach, so I had to walk at least 5 feet behind him until it was finished. Then he kissed me, and I almost threw up...no offense, John, no offense!!

After that, we rode back to Greektown on the People Mover, and we decided to use the bathroom in the casino again. I had even more hassle given to me about my ID again, and I really didn't think he was letting me through that time. Finally, we got back out to the car, and we went home. All in all, it was a nice day...but I wish I would have felt better and been able to enjoy it. We didn't have our picture taken anywhere or anything because I felt like crap.

Well...I better go shower...we're going shopping today!

Oh...oh! How could I forget?? I didn't even tell you guys about the airport pick up! I had a little red teddybear with his zodiac sign on it and a red rose to give him when he arrived. He had a stuffed gray kitty to give me...the tag said that the kitty's name is Whiskers. When we got out to the car, he gave me the Elevation DVD. He had bought it for me when I was there for Christmas 2001, but I left it with him cuz I didn't have a DVD player at the time. My new computer does though.

Then, I started up the car...and as I planned..."Ball and Biscuit" was playing...

I kind of put too much gel in it...and it was sticking up all over the place. We managed to tame it though, and it looked pretty good!! I redeemed myself.

We went shopping yesterday...he bought me a Homer Simpsons trivia game, 2 Barbie dolls, and the Ryan Adams DVD. I had gotten a copy in the mail from my friend, but she was just loaning it to me. He managed to buy it while we were in the store together without me seeing until we left. Sneaky!

We met Matt and his friend Ryan last night for dinner...they hadn't met John, and I hadn't met Ryan yet. We had a lot of fun...did a little shopping afterwards...and I'm surprised I didn't get us kicked out of the places we went. A good time was had by all!

Tonight, we're picking up April to see Damien Rice in Detroit...so back to Detroit we go!
