i wonder if they do studies to see what the best speeds to have those things scorlling at is...like "what speed has the most hypnotic powers?" and "what speed will people most likely be able to read everything and not get bored waiting for the next line to show up" and "what won't kill people's computers if they've got slow internet connections"
