I'm still a sucker for just the plain diamond solitaire...we can't afford one right now though. My mom gave me one of her rings to wear instead cuz she said a girl has to have a ring of some sort once she's engaged.

I'll have my diamond someday, I'm sure.

Sam's poor, that's why I don't have diamonds! I love my ring, though. It doesn't stick up, so I don't hit it on everything.

John's poor too, and I told him that I didn't want to make him flat broke just so I could flash a diamond around. It's not worth it...we have lots of other things to get settled before a luxury item like that!
