It's Official: It WASN'T a bird

that went flying up onto my dining room table last night! It was a dead teenage rat that my cat was playing with!! Yeah, it was already dead, but mercifully in one piece, when Jake decided to fling it around the dining room. The Man was very manly and got rid of it for me.



Don't worry, I changed and washed the tablecloth.

[bc one time story] One time my cousin when she was about 3 was outside playing in the barn. I was out helping my aunt with yardwork, and I hear my cousin say, "Pretty Kitty, Nice Kitty." There are a lot of barn cats so I didn't even pay any mind to her. So she comes up to me and my aunt and says "pretty kitty, nice kitty" and is petting this "kitty" on closer inspection it was a dead barn rat My aunt started freaking out....I had to go find a live barn kitty to distract my cousin...and dispose of the rat.

Racoons, dead rats, half-eaten birds. It's all one big nature show here in suburban Orange County.
