We did the drive to Hana on our second visit to Maui. I don't think I would recommend it for your first visit unless you had much more time. There are too many better things to do.

Sorry, just can't resist! I loved Maui, because it is so laid back. But Molokai is the most laid back island. hell, they just got their first traffic light there in 1996! Some Maui:

This is known as Chinaman's Hat. If you drive along the North Shore, you can't miss it.

I loved Molokai too! :heart: I remember we were walking on this huge, beautiful beach and we were the only ones there. Yeah, and that is one dangerous intersection. :lol:
 
My old Junior Highschool Crush lives in Aeia, Hawaii. Can I stowaway in your luggage and you can drop me off there while on your way? :hyper:

My uncle lives in Aeia--that's where I stayed. Only a stones throw from Pearl Harbor and 10 minutes from Honolulu.
